Before buying paint

Practical examples

• A 12 by 12 ft bedroom with 8 ft walls, two coats, two windows, and one door can be estimated before comparing paint-label coverage.
• A bathroom repaint should usually be estimated separately because patched drywall, moisture-prone walls, primer, and trim decisions can change the order.
